Grant FosterWith 26 years’ practicing law in Washington and Utah in all areas of intellectual property, Mr. Foster brings a wealth of IP experience into the mediation and arbitration arena.  As a mediator, Mr. Foster is committed to the effective resolution of IP disputes through a no-nonsense, cut-to-the-chase approach.  Because of his experience, Mr. Foster has the ability to understand the issues quickly, both from a legal and technological standpoint, and apply his IP experience to narrow the issues and help the parties reach agreement.

Mr. Foster, as a registered patent attorney, has focused his practice on patent prosecution in a diverse array of technologies from mechanical devices to software.  Mr. Foster has also handled trademark matters during his entire career.  Perhaps as important as anything, Mr. Foster has actively been involved in IP litigation during his career, including having personally tried IP cases and participated as litigant in numerous mediations.  This combination of IP experience is a skillset very rare among IP practitioners, and one Mr. Foster believes gives him a significant edge in gaining a very fast understanding IP cases with an effort to resolve them.
